Our P.B.L for this term

Hello and welcome back to my first blog of term 2
For our term 2 P.B.L subject is speak up. Speak up is basically saying speak up to discrimination, Discrimination means that people make fun of others by there racism, ageism and sexism this is what is happening to the world right now. Today our teacher were teaching us how it feels for the people that are getting treated like this. Our teachers let the boys sit on seats and the girls sit on the ground but he girls got 5 minutes extra morning tea.

here are some of our sub questions:
-What are human right?
-What are the different types of discrimination?
-what does and standers do?
-what are stereotypes or blas? 

Over the next few days we will be learning more about discrimination I have already learnt a lot about discrimination like there is a lot of ways to show this and it is very easy to offend a lot of people. This is not ok and not right for the people who are getting treated like this they do not deserve this. I feel like this shouldn't happen to anyone because we all have feeling and there is no reason for this to happen to people in this world.

South Sudan

Hi and welcome back to my blog
For this week in RE we have been talking about South Sudan, It is very sad that they don't have what we have. For this RE i have been thinking about it a lot i'v been thinking that not everyone have the same things like a Bed, a House, Education, School, Money. I'v feel like everyone has to think about that  everyone doesn't have lot of stuff like us.
South Sudan had to live with conflict there are also lots of other countries that have conflict like
-South Sudan
-Iran
-Somali
-Sudan
-central Africa
-Pakistan
-North Korea

There are lots of different counties that have conflict I think that it is very sad that family have to go though this and when people moved to South Sudan they had nothing no bed no food nothing. It is very sad that not everyone have lots of stuff

Digi awards (sneak Peak)

Hey welcome back to my blog 
This is our last week of school, we are doing a Digi awards and if you don't know what that is, So for the last few weeks we have been working on our Digi awards and this week we are doing a a award show kinda. The hole of hub had to make something for this. Here is my invitation
























 On the night there will be judges that will judge us on us product, there are five categorises there is Coding, Commercial, Story telling, Website and Open. Me and Paige are in a group and we are in story telling

Week 9

Hey and welcome back to my blog 

Today I'm going to tell you our school values 

Respect: I think that it means that you show respect to our school, Teachers, Parents and friends and family 

Compassion: I think that it mean that when someone shows kindness and caring to help others it think that that's when you know that someone is showing compassion 

Integrity: I think Integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one's actions. Honesty and trust are central to integrity.

Service: I think Service means that you help someone out because you want to not because you were asked to or made to.

Integrity: I think Integrity means that you help someone out without people noticing you do it and doing this to help

T-Shirt

Welcome back to my blog 

For this week for our school the year 7 and 8's are going to design a t-shirt showing our theme of the year which is # chooses kind. Do you like my T-shirt?

To have my T-shirt won there are going to be judges and they are going to judge us, And the winning t-shirt will be printed onto a t-shirt and be given out at our Values Assembly.

Swimming Lessons

Welcome back to my blog 

For swimming lessons this year we went to qe2, we got to buddy up with the years 1 and 2's and we had to look after them before we got in the pool. For swimming there were 3 lanes and they asked up if we could do 50 meters freestyle to be in the 3rd lane, And then the 2nd lane they asked if we could do 25 meters of freestyle, And then the others went in the 1st lane. Swimming lessons was so fun to me, We did swimming lessons for 2 weeks but I only did it for 1 week because I went to Auckland. I was in the 2nd lane and we did all kinds of stuff we did freestyle, Backstroke and other style of swimming. Swimming lessons was so fun.
swimming is not my favourite sport but it was fun to do and I can't wait to do it next time.

Swimming Sport

Hi and welcome back to my blog 

For the start of the year we do swimming sport this year we did swimming at Jelly Park, Swimming sport is when you compete in swimming races and this year you had to compete in two races. We got to pick what we wanted to race but I didn't race so instead I helped out.

 For swimming you could do 25m, 50m or you could do width which is across the pool. If you race in 50m and you place 1st, 2nd or 3rd you go to zones and compete for your own school. Swimming is not my favourite sport but I don't mind it.

Swimming sport is great and I think that everyone should have a go at swimming sport in there school.
