Reading Workshop week 3

Hello and welcome back to my blog, 

For this week's goal for reading was Identify at least one important idea and justify why it is important. Identify some text events and features, and discuss what they make the reader think about. What we had to do is pick a book to read and than we had a choose a task to do. We got to choose between a Comic strip, Screencastify on slides about the book or a template. I choose to do a template. The book I choose to read is called Lest we forget. On the template we had three boxes that we had to fill out. In one box we had to get a sentence and put it into the box. Than the next box we had take a screenshot of the picture beside the sentence we took and put in the first box. In the third box we had to write down what we the sentence made us think about.

Writing workshop week 2

Hello and welcome back to my blog, 

For this week for writing our goal was Revise and rework writing for clarity, impact and purpose. proofread for spelling, grammar and punctuation. For this week we got given a Rubric to fill out from our report. We had to choose three different Writing features from the rubric that we thought were important to included in writing. Once we choose our three Writing features we made a slideshow on why we choose these three writing features and why we think they are important to include in writing. We had to also get a sentence or two and write down before and after and make the corrections from the three Writing features we choose to do

Maths workshop week 2

Hello and welcome back to my blog,

Today's goal for maths this week was: Use a broad range of strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems. For our create task this week we had to make an advertisement about our maths strategy that we choose to do. I choose to do reversibility. In our advertisement we had answer questions about the strategy we choose to do. We got to make a Poster, Video or anything that can show our working with our strategy we choose. The questions we got given to answer are, Why should we use this strategy, When could this be helpful and How do we use this strategy. Here is my advertisement.

Reading workshop week 2

Hello and welcome back to my blog, 

For reading this week we had two goals. Use knowledge from text to combine with new ideas (own and others) to come up with new thinking. Make connections between other texts and general knowledge to expand meaning and pose questions, using more sophisticated texts. For our task this week we had to watch a video about infographics. We had to go on this site that took us through this mission that we had to help the BBC new to learn about Real news or Fake news. after we did that we had to choose a book to read out of two books. After we read the book we choose we had to make a google drawing about infographics and why we it's important to know what you are searching and if it's true. Here's what I did.

Reading Workshop week 1

Today I'm going to be talking to you about what I've done im my reading workshop for this week.  This week's goal for reading was making connections between and across texts. For reading this week we had to read two books.

Writing Workshoops Week 1

Hello and Welcome back to my blog, 

Today I will talking to you about my writing task that we have been given in our writing workshop.  In our Writing workshop we had to get a paragraph from our report and we had to choose three different languages and highlight them. I choose Proper nouns, Facts about the person and Dates. After we highlighted we had to comment and say why we picked the language and choose to highlight them. Here what I did.

Maths Workshop Week 1

Hello and Welcome back to my blog, 

Today I will be sharing with you what I've been doing in my maths workshop. This is our first week doing work online and so far its going good. Today is our second day on doing work online. For our maths workshop we have been given 3 different maths strategies. After we pick a strategie  to do we had to watch a video about it teaching us how to do the strategie we choose. After watching the video our teacher gave us questions to answer. We had to make a slideshow and put the questions and answers on it. After we put the answers and questions are on the slide we had to make  a screencastify and show our working out and how we got the answer. Here is my Screencastify
