My Poem

Hello and welcome back to my blog

Today I'm going to be talking to you about my poem. In our Writing workshops we have been writing poems. We had to watch a video about different types of poems, We got to choose out of a Limerick, Haiku, Using Comparisons in Poetry and Cinquain. I choose Using Comparisons in poetry. Here is my poem:

My legs start to tickle as a school of fish swim past
The waves push against me

The wind rushed past my face
I put my head under the water, hoping to see the school of fish swim past

I put my head under and I saw all these new fish i’ve never seen before, like I just opened a door to a new world

The fish swim past like there in a rush
Like there trying to get somewhere

I remember it being like yesterday
Being on the beach lying down on the sand

Swimming with the fish
Hanging with my family

Just having fun in the sun

We had to write a poem about our culture or a memory we have. We wrote this poem for our PBL. It had to add up to our question, How can I celebrate who I am.

Have you ever wrote a poem before.
Hope you enjoyed this blog

Pool day

Hello and welcome back to my blog,

Todays blog I'm going to be talking to you about our schools pool day. This week we went to waltham pool. Before we left we had to make sure that all of our school work was up to date, but if some things weren't done that would be 2 minutes out of the pool. I had 6 minutes out of the pool. At the pools there was one water slide, one big pool and the toddlers pool. We spend about 2 and a half hours there. We all had so much fun and had a great time. We got to have turns in year groups to go down the waterslide. We got to go down as many times as we wanted until our time was up and the next group went.

Have you ever had a pool say at your school?
Hope you enjoyed this blog

The water Project

Hello and welcome back to my blog

Today I"m going to share with you about what I have learnt about the water project.
I had to watch a video about the water project and write down things I've learnt by watching it. Here are some things I've learnt.

  •  Most basic human need is out of reach for over 300 million people in Africa
  • Today more than 1 in 8 people around the world will will start their day by walking around to find something to drink
  • Unsafe water and poor situation conditions sick children can't learn
  •  Waterborne Illness kill more people every year than all of the conflicts and wars on earth combined
  • Under wells can be constructed bringing water to hundreds
  • Rainwater can be captured and stored for others
  • Sand dams can be trap sessional rivers long enough to replenish the groundwater and that's where it all begins when water comes everything changes access to clean water helps a community climb that first step out of poverty clean leads to clean hands.
The water project is taken place in Africa. The water project has achieved to get access to clean water for africa.

Do you know about the water project?
